The main objective of the Family Class of
the Canadian Immigration is to reunite family members of the citizens or
permanent residents who live in a different country.
The family class immigration allows citizens
and PRs to sponsor their parents, children, spouse, common-law partner,
conjugal partner, and your grandparents.
The immigration laws of Canada want to keep
families together, and to prove this, the visa offices of Canada prioritizes
Family Class applications first.
Who Is
Eligible Under This Package?

are allowed to sponsor someone if you are a permanent resident or a citizen of
Canada and is over 18-years-old.
You are allowed to sponsor the following:

Spousal Sponsorship Canada
The spousal sponsorship program is a
subsection of the Family Class Immigration category. If you are a permanent
resident or a citizen of Canada, you are eligible to sponsor a spouse or
common-law partner. If you are a PR, your wife/spouse can apply for the
Canadian Permanent.
In order to be eligible for sponsoring, your partner
should be eligible to be called as a spouse, common-law partner, or a conjugal
partner.
This means you need to be lawfully-wedded with each
other and should have documents to prove that you are married to each other.
Also, Canada allows same-sex marriage, this
means your partner could be eligible for sponsorship under spouse, common-law
partner, or a conjugal partner.
Outland Sponsorship
Outland Sponsorship is pursued when the
sponsored partner is not living in Canada. But, applicants could still be in
the country and apply in the outland program. Also, the applicants are allowed
to travel inside and outside of the country throughout the application process.
The applications of the Outland Sponsorship
are processed through visa offices that are present in the country of origin of
the applicant.
Inland
Sponsorship
The inland spousal sponsorship allows applications to
have the ability to continue to live in Canada while their visa for permanent
residency is being processed by the visa office.
If the temporary status of the applicant is about to
expire or is not valid throughout the application processing time, the applicant is required to apply for an extension so they can maintain their
legal status.
The spousal sponsorship applications are
usually processed within 12 months even with the fact that the visa offices
prioritize them. During the processing time, you are allowed to travel in and
out of the country.
